WHAT'S THE THERAPY

At Peace by Practice, my mission is to empower individuals on their journey to holistic well-being.

Through Neurokinetic Therapy (NKT), we target reoccurring pain, scars, old injuries, tightness, and limited movement, addressing the root causes for lasting relief.

Building on NKT insights, Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST) further restores balance by targeting tissue restrictions and mobilizing joints, muscles, and fascia.

Vagus Nerve Resets offer specialized support for chronic stress, digestive issues, sleep troubles, immune concerns, and a myriad of related issues, fostering emotional and physical well-being.

Lymphatic Release sessions focus on alleviating headaches, boosting energy, and supporting overall health by addressing various concerns such as allergies, constipation, and improved immunity.

Finally, Movement/Yoga services cater to athletes, fitness enthusiasts, and those seeking pain-free, biomechanically sound movement patterns, promoting joint stability and overall strength. At Peace by Practice, I am dedicated to personalized care that unlocks the path to enduring wellness.

NEUROKINETIC THERAPY

NKT is a corrective movement system that addresses the cause of pain/dysfunctional movement patterns that are stored in the brain. Rewiring the brain with functional movement patterns over time is what eliminates the pain and dysfunction.

Scars, old injuries, and even limited movement can intercept the brain signal to the correct muscle or movements. The body compensates but the compensation pattern can result in more wear and tear causing pain and injury. NKT hacks the motor control center in the brain to clear out compensation patterns.

FASCIAL STRETCH THERAPY

Using the information we gather through NKT, I use FST to access tissue restrictions and to deeply mobilize joints, muscles, and fascia to restore balance. FST has been a wonderful tool to eliminate pain, improve posture, flexibility and recovery. Fascia is a network of connective tissue that is wrapped around every part of the body. As a therapist, I use FST to unwind and balance out the areas that are overworking and then use it to activate in others. Each session is individualized for each client to help them improve their individual patterns, areas that need more circulation and lymphatic work, and to increase athletic performance.

VAGUS NERVE RESET

The Vagus nerve is considered to be the wandering nerve. It serves as the body’s information expressway, carrying data between the brain and th internal organs and controlling the body’s response during rest and relaxation.

The vagus nerve is also a vital component of the brain-gut axis- transmitting intel between both organs using neurotransmitters and gut hormones, all of which play vital role in mood, pain, sleep, stress and hunger. Sessions are 20 minutes which allows us enough time to do a reset and not overload the nervous system. Each session you will learn a new reset and how you can do them at home to help improve emotional regulation and stress management.

LYMPHATIC RELEASE

Lymphatic system is a huge component of our immune system. It’s a filter system that gets rid of toxins, bacteria, viruses, cancer cells and metabolic waste. Opening the main drains is the key to release toxins. Veins and lymph rely on each other to drain the waste. When waste flows freely, muscles and tissue perform their function.

Sessions are 20, 30, and 45 minutes. I recommend starting with the 20 minute and receiving the assessment to see if you have any side effects. Its not about overloading the system. Each session we will learn a new technique so you can work your lymphatics at home as well.

MOVEMENT/YOGA

We have gotten locked into workouts and habits that leave us feeling beat up. Through fine-tuning our movement and postures we will focus on the natural biomechanics to create greater joint stability, strength, and motion. This leaves you moving more often, with greater range of motion, and without compensating patterns that lead to injury.
